After the opening of the transit railway, the one-hour commuting circle will cover main cities in the Yangtze River Delta, including Shanghai, Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou and Nantong, etc. The island features sound wetlands ecosystem and abundant geothermal resources while no industries nor enterprises have ever entered this island over the past hundreds of years.
