There are altogether approximately 200 ancient water towns in Suzhou, among which Luzhi, Tongli, Zhouzhuang, Mudu, Shaxi, Qiandeng, Shajiabang, Jinxi, Dongshan, Fenghuang, Guli, Lili, Zhenze, Guangfu and Bacheng are ranked as Chinese Historical Cultural Towns.
Luxiang Village of Dongshan Town, Sanshan Village, Yangwan Village, Mingyuewan Village of Jinting Town and Dong Village are ranked as Chinese Historical Cultural Villages.
Luzhi Town in Wuzhong District, Zhenze Town in Wujiang District enter the first batch of National Featured Town. Lujia Town of Kunshan City, Haiyu Town of Changshu City, and Qidu Town of Wujiang District enter the second batch of National Feature Town.
