6 sports parks are newly built or renovated in the city. The average sports space per person is 4.03 square meters in Suzhou. 42.1 kilometers of fitness footpath was added. The 2023 WBF Sudirman Cup Finals, the Chinese Football Association Cup Finals, China Sports Culture Expo·China Sports Tourism Expo and other events were successfully held in Suzhou. 120 sports events were held at or above the provincial level, including 63 national events. Athletes from Suzhou won 31 gold medals and 17 silver medals in the 19th Asian Games and the 1st National Student (Youth) Games.
