Work Responsibilities
Deputy Mayor Tang Xiaodong oversees the work concerning the construction of ecological civilization, and open economy. He is also in charge of the supervision and administration of sectors such as commerce, ports, the free trade zone, development zones, and the market as well as food and drugs. Simultaneously, the deputy mayor does administrative work related to intellectual property, control and prevention of water pollution in Taihu Lake, water conservancy and water affairs management, and management of watercourse environment in the city area.
