In 2018, the fourth batch of "Suzhou Garden Directory" officially announced 108 gardens were incorporated into the legal conservation systems. In this way, Suzhou became a "City of 100 Gardens", among which, the Humble Administrator's Garden, the Lingering Garden, the Master of Nets Garden, the Mountain Villa with Embracing Beauty, the Pavilion of Surging Waves, the Lion Grove, the Garden of Cultivation, the Garden of Couple's Retreat, the Garden of Quiet Meditation are listed into the Directory of World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. Moreover, the "Paradise Suzhou, Garden City" conservation and management project won the Asian Urban Landscape Award in 2018. In 2019, Liu Fang Yuan (the Garden of Flowing Fragrance), was completed in Los Angles , making it the largest and most complete Chinese-style gardens outside China. Ever since the establishment of the Ming Xuan in the USA in 1980, whose design resembles "Dian Chun Yi" in the Master of Nets Garden in Suzhou, over 100 Suzhou-styled classical garden projects have been built overseas, showcasing the traditional Chinese culture to the world.
